Overview of Track Days & Evenings
Track Days/Evenings allow drivers and riders to explore the performance of their cars/motorcycles in a controlled and safe environment. It is an opportunity to drive on a race track without the constraints, restrictions and invariable risks of a public road. Race control officials monitor each session through the CCTV system which covers the entire circuit. Safety cover on the track is run to strict international standards, with marshal’s posts manned, and safety trucks, ambulance and paramedic services available throughout the event.
As a beginner, you will need to attend a track evening limited to the Club Circuit which has state of the art floodlights. These beginners track evenings will include an in depth safety briefing and then 3 x 20mins sessions on track. You will then be allowed to enter Advanced drivers and riders track days where you will have access to Club, National, International or Grand Prix circuits depending on the day you book.
Refer to interactive graphic (right) to see the different circuit variations: Club, National, International and Grand Prix which are used for Track Days and Track Nights.
As an advanced driver or rider, you can register on the beginners track evening on the Club Circuit and will be given 3 x 20 mins sessions reserved for advanced drivers or riders. You can also enter any track day on the National, International or Grand Prix Circuits where after an in depth safety briefing and familiarization laps you can enjoy 90mns opened pit lane. Starting hours for each track day or evenings depends on the track and period of the year where you enter and will be announced well before the day.
Sessions are not timed and are non-competitive. It is strongly advised that participants bring their cars or motorcycles down to the track fueled and with tires fully inflated. While it may be possible to borrow fuel or a compressor from fellow participants, fuel is not available for purchase at the track nor is a compressor supplied.
Any standard road worthy car may participate in a Car Track Day/Evening. Drivers must be in possession of a valid, current drivers licence, and must wear a helmet at all times while on the track. Helmets can be hired on the day for AED 50 with free balaclava.
