Kia Motors and Al Majid Motors - dealers for Kia vehicles in the United Arab Emirates launched the Mohave mid-size sports utility vehicle in Dubai. The Mohave is the Korean automaker's very first seven-seater SUV.

Mohave is powered by a 3.8-litre V6 with 274 bhp on tap and comes with a 5-speed automatic transmission. Speaking at the launch event, Samir Tayeh, President of Al Majid Motors said that the Mohave will be made available with a 342 bhp 4.6-litre V8 powerplant towards the start of 2009. The V8 will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Two Mohave variants - LX & EX are on offer with key differences in the trim and feature levels. There are two drive trans to choose from - 'Part-Time 4WD' or 'Automatic Full-Time 4WD'. Kia has packed all possible features in the Mohave. Touch screen navigation, rear camera, height adjustable suspensions, etc are to name a few in the long list.
