General Motors (GM) has
released the official details of 2010 Chevrolet Camaro coupe
showing the muscle car in final production guise. The Camaro comes back after an
absence of almost eight years.
Edgy design lines, sharp creases, LED lights all around give Camaro a modern, distinct and sporty look. Its long, extended hood and short rear deck is reminiscent of the previous generation Camaros. Retro theme, with modern touches continues on the inside as well.
Unlike the Ford
Mustang which has a live rear axle, the Camaro has full independent
suspension. Two alloy-blocked engines will be offered – a 3.6-litre
V6 and a 6.2-litre V8, developing 300bhp and 420bhp respectively.
Both are to be offered with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic
transmissions. The V8 will feature cylinder deactivation to save on
fuel. Other features of the 2010 Camaro will include an ultrasonic park
assist, Bluetooth connectivity,
and 20-inch alloy wheels.
